IMO Charity are pleased to announce our ‘You:Thrive InLife’ programme.
The aim of this project is to support 14-18 year olds in achieving Education, Employment, or Training (EET). The pilot programme is set to begin in June 2024, with the full programme launching in 2025. We are collaborating with local schools to provide tailored mentoring and support for young people.
Participants in the You:Thrive InLife programme will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced mentors who will guide them through the challenges of transitioning into further education or the workforce. Our mentors will help them develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive in their chosen paths.
Each participant will be matched with a mentor who will provide one-on-one support, helping them set and achieve their personal goals.

2. How We Are Forming Our Project
Our project is centred around the goal of aiding young people who have veered off course, by providing one-on-one mentorship and practical experience to bolster their opportunities for sustained Education, Employment, and Training (EET). In collaboration with Impetus, we are strategically planning and executing the project's formation to ensure alignment with IMO's overarching mission: to empower communities for an improved quality of life and resilience. Our endeavours focus on raising aspirations, enhancing health and wellbeing, and improving education and employability. Our organisational values—passion, respect, accountability, teamwork, knowledge, action, and a commitment to equality and diversity—guide us in this mission.
3. Launching of the Project
The launch of our project is planned for early 2024. While there are no large-scale events planned as yet, our approach to launching is highly focused and strategic. We will engage directly with schools to pinpoint and support pupils who will benefit the most from our programme. This targeted outreach ensures that our resources are channelled effectively to serve underrepresented social groups, such as the south Asian community, deprived and need support with educational attainment, through 1 to 1 mentoring support and providing practical experience
